Diet choices pretty much decide the quality of one’s life. A healthy diet that includes; green vegetables and fruits is always advisable, over one that includes junk food and other fattening foods.

If you want a healthy heart and disease-free life, here are few tips, which you must follow-

  • Say no to full fat milk and other dairy products such as: cream, butter, cheese spreads, and yogurts made from whole milk.
  • If you have a habit of drinking sugary beverages, it can lead to an unhealthy heart. This is because these drinks are high in sugar, which means lots of calories.
  • Don’t use white wheat bread and get in replaced by 100 percent whole wheat bread, if you want to have a healthy heart.
  • Salt is necessary, but always bear in mind that you should not consume more than 6g salt per day. Avoid foods that are high in salt, as they can raise your blood pressure.
  • Processed foods are not good for your heart at all, therefore you must reduce your intake of processed foods, and or rather you should consume more raw fruits and vegetables.
  • Consider fried food as your enemy, because it leads to saturated fats.
  • Red meat on the daily basis is not good for your heart, and so it’s better to take it as an occasional treat. This is because it’s high in saturated fat, even if it’s unprocessed.
